Sometimes magic knocks on your door... That's what happened to my family and I last week, November 2nd, 2023. Jake Harvath of Year of the Mustang came through our place and we opened up our home in support of his journey. A complete stranger to us, we received word from Edie Brogan, a Pagosa Springs horse trainer, that Jake was coming through on his 7,000 mile trek across the United States on horseback. So many Southwest Colorado horse people and members of the San Juan Back Country Horsemen networked to see that Jake, Bella, Eddie, and Denver were cared well for on their way to New Mexico.
I'm not a horse person. I'm a silk bracelet maker! But, I did make Jake a meal and I also took a LOT of pictures. Jake is a horse trainer and farrier who has a story to tell and passion to share about wild horses... Mustangs. He's raising money via his gofundme page and you can donate there.
